SAILING

Hi everyone!

These past few months we have working on the song SAILING,  by Rod Stewart. 



One day, Naroa put a song in the computer. Then, she gave a paper with the lyrics of the song and we had to complete them. We had an idea to sing the song with instruments for the presentaiton. 


On Thursdays and Fridays we prepared the song but first we made the groups to sing: high pitched and low pitched. We learnt the song by heart.

The high pitched group sings the first part and then the low pitched group. The piano starts the first, then singing, next the classic guitar and after that the violin and the electric guitar.

The homework of English was to practice the song with instruments and singing.

THE FOURTH TONGUE TWISTER!!!

Hi,we are 5th  grade students and we recorded a video saying the 4th  tongue twister that we learn.The we wrote in these blog.These  are our tongue twister,we think that you are going to like it!
       

                                  SWAN SWAM OVER THE SEA.

                      SWIM, SWAN,SWIM!

           SWAN SWAM BACK AGAIN .      

    WELL SWUM SWAN!

With these tongue twisters we have been working on these sounds:
- w: one, queen,, quick, eartquake, question...
- o: on, dog, dolphin, frog, octopus, hot, off...
- ae: swam, cat...
- a: up, jump, thunder...

Hello!! 

Now we are going to explain our tongue twister in english. 
The tongue twister is:


1.- Wayne went to wales to watch walruses.

With this tongue twister we learn this phonetic simbols:
W: wayne, went, wet, white, water...
EI: wayne, make, made, name, say...
tS: watch, teacher, chicken, beach...

This tongue twister we records in groups.

WE LEARN THE TONGUE TWISTER, BECAUSE IS FUNNY AND BEAUTIFUL!!
SALLY SELLS

We did some tongue twisters.And our tongue twister is:Sally sells sea shells by the sea shore, but if Sally sells sea shells by the sea shore, then where are the sea shells Sally sells?

With this tongue twister we learn this phonetic simbols:S for sally and sh for shore, s for see, sea,sound,seven... And SH of shore, short, shoes... We recorded 5 persons doing the tongue twister.Here you have our video.



FISHERMAN

HELLO!!!! 
WE ARE THE GROUP FISHERMAN,AND WE EXPLAIN YOU  OUR TONGUE TWISTER
THERE WAS A FISHERMAN NAMED FISHER WHO FISHED FOR SOME FISH IN A FISSURE.
TILL A FISH WITH A GRIN, PULLED THE  FISHERMAN IN.NOW THEY ARE FISHING THE
FISSURE FOR FISHER.
WITH THIS TONGUE TWISTER WE LEARN THIS SOUNDS. F AND "ESH".

The sugar rainbow

Hello everyone!

We are the Sugar Rainbow Experiment group.

We followed some steps to do our experiment. These are the steps:

1. Watch part of the video, but not the whole video because if we watch the whole video we know what happens.

2. Write our hypothesis: all the colours have different densities; the most dense stay at the bottom and the less dense stay at the top.

3. Materials that we need to do the experiment: water, four cups, sugar, a microwave, a teaspoon, food colouring, a long cup and a needle.

4. Do the experiment.

5. Write the conclusion: our hypothesis was right.


We liked doing the experiment because it's funny and it's amazing that each colour stays on the top.

THE CD RAINBOW

Hello!


We did four different experiments and our group did the CD RAINBOW experiment. 

First, Naroa showed us a video in groups of five, but just half of the video. 

Then, we wrote six steps: 

1. Watch half of the video,
2. Write the question.
3. Write the material. 
4. Write the hypothesis. 
5. Watch the rest of the video. 
6. See if our hypothesis is good.  

Conclusion: our hypothesis was good. 

We liked doing the experiment because we worked a lot and we had fun!

color changing the milk

Hello!!
We are, the group COLOR CHANGING THE MILK!!
We did the experiment because our topic is FIREWORKS!
One day, Naroa said that we had to do an experiment. Then Naroa gave a paper and there appeared 5 steps.Then we watched the video of our experiment. Then we did 5 steps.We wrote the question,the hypothesis,the material that we need for the experiment and how we were going to do the experiment.Then we did the experiment and our hypothesis was good. Then we wrote the conclusion.

 DIFICULTIES

1.- The food coloring moves in the plate and mixes.
2.- First we put the not liquid food coloring and it doesn't work, but then we put the liquid food coloring and works.

We like this experiment because is funny and beautiful

fire works in the jar

Hello now we are going to explain our experiment fireworks in the jar.

Naroa told us that we were going to put in groups and each group was going to make an experiment. The names of the experiments are : fireworks in the jar,the cd rainbow, the sugar rainbow and color changing the milk.Then we wrote these steps:
                             1 watch half of the video
                             2 write the hypothesis
                             3 the material of the experiment
                             4 decide who brings what material
                             5 see if our hypothesis is correct
                             6 our hypothesis is not correct

The problems that we had with the experiment are:
We didn'tcalculate the quantity of the water ,we threw very big drops and we threw a lot of oil.
We like the experiment because we play and laugh..
